Future Freight Networks : Yearbook 2016
ALC Forum is the largest and most influential gathering of leaders and key policymakers in the Australian logistics industry. It is renowned as Australia’s premier freight supply-chain event, and in 2016 it lived up to its reputation as a high-profile freight policy forum. With the theme of Future Logistics Infrastructure, the Forum brought together 250 key industry leaders, policymakers and stakeholders to debate and discuss the critical and significant infrastructure policy issues on the national agenda. ALC Forum 2016 focused on the issues identified in the ALC submission on Infrastructure Australia’s (IA) Australian Infrastructure Audit, and the ramifications for the logistics industry of IA’s 15-year Australian Infrastructure Plan. It also had a particular focus on New South Wales freight efficiency, as well as the logistics infrastructure and policies that are required to meet a projected doubling of the state’s freight task by 2030. ALC wishes to thank everyone who attended, along with our valued sponsors and exhibitors, and we look forward to seeing you again next year, when we return to the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 7–9 March 2017.
